particular considerations of your pregnancy personally at each visit. Continuity of care with one
doctor is maintained throughout your pregnancy and delivery whenever possible. We focus on promoting
the healthiest pregnancy possible through education, proper nutrition, exercise, and appropriate

The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at St. Joe's offers a community oriented experience with
spacious new LDRP rooms which allow for labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum stay in one private room.
This allows for rooming in of the newborn baby and father. St. Joe's offers 24 hour in house OB anesthesia
services, 24 hour in house OB attending coverage for emergencies, an accredited residency program, and an
Extended Level II Special Care Nursery that allows care for high risk and preterm babies.

The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Masonic offers a community
oriented personalized feel with LDR rooms (labor, delivery, and recovery in the same room), separate private
and semi-private postpartum rooms, and a nursery with the highest Level III distinction capable of caring for
the sickest of newborns. Masonic also offers 24 hour in house anesthesia services, 24 hour in house OB
attending coverage for emergencies, and an accredited residency program.

Emergencies
In case of an emergency situation, please call the office telephone number.
During routine office hours, the doctor or staff should be available to talk to you directly.
After hours, the answering service will take your message and contact the on call doctor.
Please identify your name, nature of the problem, and the number you can be reached at.
If the on call physician is busy with a delivery, surgery, or other patient care, she will
return your call as soon as possible.
Some symptoms which warrant a call to the doctor include:
- Heavy or bright red bleeding
- Any bleeding associated with pain
- Regular, timed contractions
- Severe pain or pressure in your back or lower pelvis
- Any large gushes of fluid or continuous leakage of clear liquid
- Fever over 101 degrees Farenheit (38 degrees Celsius)
- No fetal movement for more than 4 hours after 24 weeks pregnant
